Canara Bank Vacancy Details:Total No of Posts: 300Name of the posts:1. Probationary Officer [JMGS-I]: 270 Posts
2. Probationary Clerk: 30 Posts
Age Limit: Candidates age should be minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years for probationary Officer Post and minimum 20 years & maximum 28 years for probationary clerk post as on 01-03-2013. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government of India and the result should have been declared on or before 01-03-2013 for both posts.
Selection Process:
The eligible candidates who have enrolled for training will be shortlisted based on their academic record and suitability to the post. For such shortlisting, Bank may conduct a written test and/or Group Discussion and/or Interview etc., if required for shortlisting of candidates for training and bank will be conducting Written Test, Group Discussion and Interview for the candidates who have been certified successful in training for recruitment to the posts of Prob. Officers and Clerks, depending on the option given by them and their eligibility for the respective posts. The selection process (Written Test, GD and interview) will be done by the Bank for these posts after completion of each batch for recruitment process.
How to Apply:
Candidates have to register in www.nsdcudaan.com and apply for this programme from 29-04-2013 to 15-05-2013. All candidates who have applied on-line have to bring with them a filled-in physical application form as per application format given in the website. Candidates can also apply by submitting physical application, as per application format provided in the Annexure, to the designated branches of Canara Bank or to the Nodal Officers at the designated Degree Colleges on or before 15-05-2013.

ICGS Rajdoot Commissioned in Kolkata |
Indian Coast Guard Ship ‘Rajdoot’, designed and built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers, Kolkata was commissioned at Kolkata on April 22,2013.The fifty-mtr ‘Rajdoot’, the sixth in the series of eight Inshore Patrol Vessels (IPVs) displaces 300 tons and can achieve a maximum speed of 34 Knots. It is capable of undertaking multifarious tasks such as surveillance, interdiction, search and rescue and medical evacuation. The ship is fitted with state-of-the art communication and navigation equipment like Integrated Bridge Management System and 30 mm CRN-91 gun as main armament.

ఢిల్లీ కి ట్యాగ్ లైన్ గా "దిల్ దార్ డిల్లి" గా నిర్ణయించారు, ఈ పేరు సూచించింది అమిత్ ఆనంద్.

ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ లో తెలంగాణా రాష్ట్ర సమితి ఏప్రిల్ 27 నాడికి 12 సంవత్సరాలు పూర్తి చేసుకుంది. ఈ పార్టీ అద్యక్షుడుగా కే చంద్రశేఖర్ రావు ఉన్నారు.
ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్ ప్రతిపక్ష నేత చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు తన సుదిర్గమైన పాదయాత్ర ని విశాఖపట్నం ఏప్రిల్ 27 నాడు లో ముగించారు, ఈ పాదయాత్ర 2012 అక్టోబర్-2 అనంతపురం జిల్లా హిందు పురం లో ప్రారంబించి 208 రోజులు పాటు కొనసాగించారు.
బాలికా సంరక్షణ పధకంలులో మార్పులు చేసి బంగారుతల్లి పేరు తో కొత్త పధకం ప్రవేశ పెట్టాలని రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం బావిస్తుంది, ఈ పధకం లో బాగంగా ఆడపిల్ల పుట్టినట్టు నమోదు చేస్తే తల్లికి 2500/-, టీకాలు సంరక్షనుకు 1000/- మరియు పాటశాల, హైస్కూల్, కళాశాలలో చదువుతున్నపుడు ప్రోత్సహకాలు గా నగదు ఇస్తారు.
దళతలు,గిరిజనులుకు పచ్చతోరణం అనే కొత్త పధకం పెట్టనున్నారు. ఈ పధకం లో బాగంగా దళితలుకు,గిరిజనులుకు రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం మొక్కలు ఇచి వాటిని పెంచడానికి 3000/- ఐదు సంవత్షరాలు పాటు ఇస్తారు, అల పెరిగన మొక్కలు పైన పట్టా హక్కు కూడా లబ్దిదార్లుకు ఇస్తారు.

- దాదాసాహెబ్ ఫాల్కే అవార్డు ను ప్రాణ్ కిషన్ సికిందకు లబించింది, ప్రాన్ బాలీవుడ్ లో ప్రతినాయుకుడు పాత్రలు ధరించడం లో మేటి. దాదాసహేబ్ ఫాల్కే అవార్డు దేశం లో సిని రంగం లో ఇచే అత్యున్నత పురస్కారం, దీనిని 1913 లో మొదటి చిత్రం రాజ హరిచంద్ర ని నిర్మించిన దాదా సాహెబ్ ఫాల్కే పేరు మీదుగా 1969 నుండి ఇస్తున్నారు
- జ్ఞాన పీఠ్ అవార్డు-2012 ను ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్ కు చెందిన ప్రముఖ రచయత రావూరి భరద్వాజ్ పొందారు, జ్ఞానపేత్ అవార్డు భారత సాహిత్య రంగం లో ఇచ్చే అత్యున్నత పురస్కారం, ఈ అవార్డును 1965 నుండి ఇస్తున్నారు. ఇప్పటి వరకు ఈ అవార్డును ఇద్దరు తెలుగు రచయతలు పొందారు, వారు విశ్వనాథ సత్యనారాయణ రామాయణ కల్పవృక్షం కు, సి నారాయణ రెడ్డి విశ్వంబర రచన కు పొందారు, రావూరు భరద్వాజ పాకుడు రాలు రచనుకు ఈ పురస్క్రం పొందారు

- ప్రముఖ బాడ్మింటన్ క్రీడాకారిణి సైనా నేహవాల్ కి యుద్దవిర్ పురస్కారం లబించింది. ఈ పురస్కారం ప్రముఖ దినపత్రిక మిలాప్ కి ఎడిటర్ గా పనిచేసిన యుద్దవిర్ పేరు మీదుగా 1991 నుండి ఇస్తున్నారు. ఏదైనా రంగం లో విషేస కృషి చేసిన వారికి ఈ అవార్డు ప్రధానం చేస్తారు.
- మేజర్ అనుప్ కి ప్రతిష్టాత్మక శౌర్య చక్ర అవార్డు లబించింది. శాంతి సమయం లో ఇచే అవార్డు లో శౌర్య చక్ర రెండో స్థానం లో కలదు. మేజర్ అనుప్ కాశ్మీర్ లో ముగ్గురు తివ్రవాదులును హతమార్చారు.

- సూక్ష్మ పోషకం గా పనిచేసే ఇనుము అధికముగా ఉండే బియ్యాన్ని పండించే దిశగా అంతర్జాతియ వరి పరిశోదన కేంద్రం ముందుఅడుగు వేసింది. ప్రస్తతం ఉన్న IR-64 వరి వంగడములో రెండు కొత్త జన్యవులును ద్వారా ఇనుము శాతాన్ని పెంచవొచుఅని తెల్పింది. రెండు కోత జన్యవులులో ఒకటి సోయబిన్ నుండి తీసుకున్న ఫెర్రితిన్ మరొకటి వేరొక వారి వంగడం నుండి తిసుకున్న జన్యువు.

- ఈ-కోలి బాక్టీరియా నుండి ఎక్ష్త టార్ విశ్వవిద్యాలం వారు డీజిల్ తయారు చేసారు.

NEW CIVIL SERVICES EXAM PATTERN

| The Government has approved the following modifications in the Civil Services Examination, 2013 notified on 5.3.2013: 1. A candidate is allowed to use any one regional language from the 8th Schedule of the Constitution of India or English as the medium of writing the examination. 2. Conditionality of a minimum of 25 candidates in that medium and the requirement to have that language as the medium of examination at graduation level has been dropped. 3. Furthermore, a candidate is allowed to take up literature as his/her optional subject (to be chosen from a list of 23 literature subjects – 22 of the 8th Schedule languages and English) without the conditionality of having to do his/her graduation in that language's literature. 4. The English component (of 100 marks) from the Essay Paper has been dropped and 2 qualifying papers of 300 marks each in any Modern Indian Language(MIL) and in English have been restored. The Essay Paper is now of 250 marks to be written in the medium/language of candidate's choice. Now, the Civil Services Main Examination 2013 will be as under: a. The candidates may write the examination in any one medium/language chosen from the languages listed in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution of India or English; b. Paper I and II will be of qualifying nature only– one in any MIL and another in English – of 300 marks each; c. Paper III will be the compulsory Essay Paper, with no English Comprehension test, to be written in the medium of candidate's choice. The English component shall be dropped. Now this paper shall be of 250 marks. d. There will be 4 compulsory papers of General Studies of 250 marks each, namely, Paper-IV (Indian Heritage & Culture, History and Geography of the World and Society), Paper-V (Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International relations), Paper-VI (Technology, Economic Development, Bio Diversity, Environment, Security and Disaster Management) and Paper-VII (Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude). e. Paper VIII and IX: Candidates will have to take one optional subject with 2 papers of 250 marks each. This optional subject can be selected from a list of 25 core subjects and 23 literatures (literature of 22 languages in 8th Schedule of The Constitution of India and English). f. The personality test/interview will be of 275 marks. |

| APRIL 07: The Strategic Forces Command (SFC), fired the medium range Agni-2 missile propelled by solid rocket propellant system, with a range capability of over 1700 kms utilizing the range facility at Wheelers Island, off the Odisha coast today. The entire trajectory of the missile was tracked by a battery of sophisticated radars, telemetry observation stations, electro-optic instruments and naval ships. Agni-2 missile is equipped with state of the art avionics, advanced high accuracy navigation system and guided by an innovative guidance scheme. An SFC spokesman said, the flight “most importantly, conveys our preparedness to meet any eventuality. The mission “fully validated our operational readiness as also the reliability of the systems and the missile.” |

PSLV C-20
India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle in its twenty third flight (PSLV -
C20), launches the Indo-French satellite SARAL along with six
commercial payloads from Canada, Austria, Denmark and UK into a 785 km
polar sun synchronous orbit inclined at an angle of 98.538 deg to the
equator. PSLV - C20 was launched on Feb 25, 2013 from the First Launch
Pad of Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR (SDSC SHAR), Sriharikota.
SARAL:
With a lift-off mass of 407 kg, SARAL is the 56th satellite to be launched by PSLV. The six payloads from abroad together have a lift-off mass of 259.5 kg. PSLV - C20 is the ninth flight of PSLV in 'Core-Alone' configuration (without solid strap-on motors).

The Satellite with ARGOS and ALTIKA
(SARAL) is a joint Indo-French satellite mission for oceanographic
studies. SARAL will perform altimetric measurements designed to study
ocean circulation and sea surface elevation.
The payloads of SARAL are:
Ka band Altimeter, ALTIKA- built by the French National Space Agency CNES. The payload is intended for oceanographic applications, operates at 35.75 Giga Hertz.
ARGOS Data Collection System- built by the French National Space Agency CNES. ARGOS contributes to the development and operational implementation of the global ARGOS Data Collection System. It will collect a variety of data from ocean buoys to transmit the same to the ARGOS Ground Segment for subsequent processing and distribution.
Solid State C-band Transponder (SCBT) is from ISRO and intended for ground RADAR calibration. It is a continuation of such support provided by C-Band Transponders flown in the earlier IRS-P3 and IRS-P5 missions.
